Programs & Activities
Total Recreation

Total Recreation provides recreation programs, events and activities for people with disability. "Programs and activities provide members with opportunities to refine and develop skills towards achieving their goals, building independence and developing confidence to access their community."

Indoor Activities
ARTA NT

ARTA NT has a goal "to provide a safe space for 12-18 year olds with disabilities to make friends and learn to participate in the community". They provide school holiday services, afterschool supports and individual supports. Some activities include sewing, cooking, bowling, laser tag, video games, painting, pottery, mini-golf, cinema trips and gardening.
Camps
Variety

Variety NT Adventure Camp is held in the Northern Territory in the July school holidays. The camp is held over one week and can cater for up to 24 teens aged between 13-18. It's aimed at providing children with mild to moderate disability and disadvantaged children a chance to participate in physical and creative activities as well as sightseeing excursions.
Outdoor Activities

Riding for the Disabled Association - Alice Springs
Riding for the Disabled in Alice Springs is a "family-oriented centre providing horse riding lessons and horse husbandry to riders of varying levels." Their programs include horse riding as well as therapeutic horse handling and care.

Variety

The Starfish Swim Group offers children with disability the opportunity to access a learn to swim program. There is a 'Mums & Bubs class' as well as swimming programs for children aged between 1 to 16 years. There are free one-on-one swim groups for children with disability ages 2-18 years.

Puggles Swim Schools

Puggles Swim Schools can be found across Australia where deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) children can learn to swim in a mainstream swimming class." "The Puggles Swim program will upskill swim teachers, arming them with relevant Auslan signs and deaf awareness resources." Visit the website to find a Puggles Swim School near you.

AFL - All Abilities Footy

"AllPlay was established to create opportunities for all children to play sport, including the one in five children who experience developmental challenges or disability." You will find contact details and links on this page.

NT Tenpin Bowling Association

NT TBA runs a Bowl Abilities inclusive program for older teens and adults with a disability where they learn the basic skills of tenpin bowling while having the opportunity to socialise. The skills involved in tenpin bowling help improve "coordination, balance and physical activity levels."
The Able Hub - Disability Service

Programs & Activities
The Able Hub run a 'Safe Space Youth Program" which provides a "Safe Space for socializing, learning life skills, and exploring without judgment. We offer a variety of activities, such as music, sports, cooking, and more, to mentor you positively and help you discover your purpose and values. We believe that self-empowerment starts with your self-perception and strengths."
